The Motion Rig MK3 6DOF Simulator Kit does not include the servomotors, gearboxes, a power supply, or a PC. These items must be purchased separately. The kit provides all other necessary components, including the laser-cut steel parts, bearings, 3D-printed components, cables, and a controller for the servomotors. Optional services like painting and thread tapping are available at an additional cost. The cockpit must be purchased or built separately. The kit primarily consists of the components necessary for constructing the motion platform, but it does not provide the seating or cockpit frame required for sim racing or flight simulation. For a complete setup, you’ll need to source or build the cockpit independently.
The shipping costs might be higher than expected. It’s recommended to inquire directly with the seller to clarify the exact shipping fees for your location. This ensures transparency and helps you avoid any surprises. Reaching out to the seller for confirmation can help you better assess the total cost before making a purchase.
The backorder conditions for the Motion Rig MK3 6DOF Simulator Kit specify a 10-14-day period for processing and shipping. Painted will take additional 10-14 days. This means that if the item is not in stock, it will take up to 14 days for the order to be fulfilled and shipped to the customer. This is important to consider if the kit is needed within a specific timeframe.
complicated assembling steps you have to know about:
for pre assembling there are some upgrade options please write to info@motion4sim.com for more information or orders
1. paint for lasercut steel parts contact info@motion4sim.com
2. Cut threads into the steel parts in pre-drilled holes (M8, M6, M4) with a good cordless drill, approx. 390 pieces (additional cost: €185)
3. Connect the gearbox with the motor (drill gearbox holes to 8.4mm in aluminum with a cordless drill) (€50)
4. Shorten the servo cables and cover them with wire mesh; ground the wire mesh (possibly solder and crimp cable lugs with pliers) (€95)
5. Make power supply cables, crimp cable lugs onto the wires (€120).
6. Wire the distribution box and make the power supply (€180). Only the plug for the socket will not be installed; this must be done by yourself or by an electrician.
7. Install crank arms at the bottom and bearing blocks at the top; pre-install, glue, and screw in the bearings (€150)
These are the most difficult work steps, so you can decide whether you can perform these tasks yourself. For steps 2 and 3, the servos would have to be ordered directly to me so that I can handle the cables and gearboxes. The remaining tasks involve only the assembly of the screw connections.
All necessary work steps are documented with a video that will be provided. Help for assembling will also be via discord or telegram
